TAGGING OF

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

The VBA has been advised by Betting

Services that Bookmakers’ equipment must be adequately

safety checked and tagged by a qualified professional.

 Compliance checks may commence from

14 September 2007 and Bookmakers may be stood

down for the day if they breach this rule.

New Rule to Race Betting 4.3.6 ( c )

Where a Top Fluctuation bet has been made with a bookmaker the deductions declared by

Stewards in the event of a horse being withdrawn must be calculated against the

Top Fluctuation for the entire betting period.
