Denis Rodgers - I work for the Department of Defence
in Victoria Barracks, Melbourne as a public servant; I have
been employed in the Department for 35 years. My home is in
Mount Waverley.
I have been a licensed bookmakers' clerk for the past 32
years, working almost exclusively in the Southern District
Racing Association (SDRA) in southern NSW. The main venues
are Albury, Wagga, Gundagai, Corowa. I have worked at several
Black Opal Stakes meetings at Canberra, and at Wodonga, Benalla,
Wangaratta and Seymour on various occasions.
I currently clerk for Tom Wright, a boomaker based in Albury,
from October to May. I no longer desire to continue with this
arrangement, due to the amount of travelling involved, and
I am seeking employment in and around Melbourne.
As of today, I am available for any Saturday meetings, including
provincial meetings around Melbourne eg Cranbourne, Kilmore,
Seymour etc. I would be available for some mid week meetings,
given sufficient notice.
As I have reached retirement age, I am seriously considering
retiring. This would mean that I would be available more often
for mid week meetings.
Ideally, I would like some sort of permanency attached to
any work offer, but I am prepared to work on a casual basis
in order to have my ability assessed.
I have been using Easybook 2000 for the past six years; I
am a bit rusty in using the manual ledgers, but I feel very
confident I could pick it up again very quickly, if the need
arose.
I am currently licensed in Victoria up to September 2007.
I can be contacted via this email address drodgers@hotkey.net.au,
or at work denis.rodgers@defence.gov.au, via telephone at
home on 98077165, at work on 92824109, or on my mobile number
0424 080 618.
